About us

A proud part of the ASCS Group, Advanced Health Care Assessments (AHCA) was founded on a shared passion and deep personal understanding of the life-changing impact that early intervention, timely diagnosis, and person-centred support can have on individuals and families. With professional experience across health, legal, and social care systems, and personal journeys navigating Autism and ADHD pathways, we recognised the urgent need for services that truly listen, respond with compassion, and place the individual at the heart of every decision.

That’s why we took everything we’d learned providing expert assessments for adults and children, and applied our findings to ADHD and Autism Spectrum Disorders.

Our mission is to bridge the gap between early needs and meaningful support, offering tailored, high-quality care that promotes independence, inclusion, and long-term wellbeing. We believe in working collaboratively with people, families, and professionals to ensure each person receives the right support, at the right time, in the right way.

Meet Our Leadership Team

Donna - Service Manager
Sarah - Managing Director

As a dedicated and compassionate Social Worker with over 20 years experience in the UK, I am passionate about advocating for individuals with diverse and complex needs. Currently, I lead a dynamic team of independent social workers, delivering high-quality social care assessments across a wide range of areas.

Throughout my career, I have supported individuals with Mental Health Needs, Learning Disabilities, Autism, Physical Disabilities, and Older Adults. My approach is person-centred, ensuring that each assessment is conducted with empathy, respect, and a commitment to improving the lives of those I serve.

I bring a deep knowledge of key legislation, including the Care Act 2014, the Mental Capacity Act 2005, the Mental Health Act 1983 and the Human Rights Act.1998. This legal expertise ensures that I am able to uphold the rights of individuals, provide appropriate advocacy, and deliver assessments and care plans that are legally sound and in compliance with regulatory standards.

In addition to my front line social work experience, I am actively involved in policy development, procedure creation, and the completion of tender applications for new business opportunities. I also oversee quality assurance for all assessments, including Care Act Assessments, Care and Support Plans, Mental Capacity Assessments, CHC Checklists, and DoLS Assessments, ensuring that all work meets the highest standards of practice and compliance.

My leadership role allows me to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, manage complex cases, and ensure that the best outcomes are achieved for both individuals and organisations.

I am passionate about leveraging my expertise in care assessments, policy development, quality assurance, team leadership, and legal knowledge to contribute to innovative, forward-thinking organisations. With a proven track record of improving care outcomes, driving operational excellence, and ensuring compliance with key legislation, I am always open to exploring opportunities where I can make a meaningful impact.
